I love the name, “Lobster in the Rough.” It sounds like everyone should be served lobster naked, and – depending on the waitresses and/or customers – that’s the only way this restaurant could be any better.

I found this painting, appropriately, in a Mexican restaurant in New Haven. I distinctly recall learning about Frida in the third grade. I tried to emulate her style for years, and when that never happened, I moved on to photography. If only I had discovered Pollack earlier…
